One of the important topics of social research is how women are represented in culture and oral literature. In this study, we try to get a relatively clear picture of the position of women in Gilan society by examining Gilaki proverbs. This study is a descriptive-analytical study by analyzing the content of four books: "Dictionary of Proverbs and Terms of Gil and Dilam", "JadkeftehGaban", "Proverbs and Terms of Gilaki" and the book "Gilaki Proverbs" which contains 4562 proverbs east, west and center of Gilan, 182 proverbs have been counted related to the subject of research. To analyze the data, thematic analysis method and proverbs with common and similar themes were used. The following five major categories of images of positive aspects of women, image of negative aspects of women, woman as inferior element, woman as superior element and woman as equal element. They were categorized and analyzed in relation to men. Findings show that the image of women in the culture of the people of Gilan is diverse and multifaceted and although in some of the proverbs women are represented as a weak and inferior element, but a significant part of the proverbs emphasize on the superior or equal role of women to men in society. ضرب‌المثل‌ها به‌منزلة یکی از عناصر مهم ادبیات شفاهی می‌توانند بازتابی از باورها و نگرش‌های حاکم بر جامعه باشند. یکی از موضوعات مهم تحقیقات حوزة اجتماعی بررسی چگونگی بازنمایی زن در فرهنگ و ادبیات شفاهی است. در این مطالعه، تلاش می‌شود با بررسی مثل‌های گیلکی به تصویری نسبتاً روشن از چگونگی جایگاه زن در جامعة گیلان دست یابیم. این مطالعه یک بررسی توصیفی تحلیلی بوده که در آن ضمن تحلیل محتوای چهار کتاب «فرهنگ مثل‌ها و اصطلاحات گیل و دیلم»، «جادکفته گبان»، «ضرب‌المثل‌ها و اصطلاحات گیلکی» و کتاب «ضرب‌المثل‌های گیلکی»، که حاوی 4562 ضرب‌المثل حوزة شرق و غرب و مرکز گیلان هستند، تعداد 182 ضرب‌المثل مرتبط با موضوع پژوهش احصا شده است. برای تحلیل داده‌ها از روش تحلیل تماتیک استفاده شده و مثل‌های با مضامین مشترک و مشابه ذیل پنج مقولة کلان تصویری از سویه‌های مثبت زنان، تصویری از سویه‌های منفی زنان، زن به‌مثابة عنصری فرودست، زن به‌مثابة عنصری فرادست و زن به‌مثابة عنصری برابر در نسبت با مرد دسته‌بندی شدند و مورد تحلیل قرار گرفتند. یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد تصویر زن در فرهنگ مردم گیلان متنوع و چندوجهی است و اگرچه در بخشی از مثل‌ها زن به‌مثابة عنصری ضعیف و فرودست بازنمایی می‌شود، بخش درخور توجهی از ضرب‌المثل‌ها بر نقش زن به‌مثابة عنصری فرادست یا برابر با مرد در جامعه دلالت دارد. https://jwica.ut.ac.ir/article_81471_2b93b7d92fad0b3da140c6cdecafe63e.pdf
