The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationships between self-esteem, marital relationship and components of happiness (consists of positive affect, negative affect and life-satisfaction), in married women. The 97 women were tested using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Questionnaire (Barrow, 2007), Marital Relationship Questionnaire (Khayyer and Samani, 2003), Positive and Negative Affect Scale (Watson, Clark & Tellegen, 1988), and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) (Diener, Emmons, Larens, & Griffin, 1985). Multiple regression analysis revealed that scores of marital relationship predict married women's life satisfaction (?= 0.79, P< 0.0001) and negative affect (?= -0.50, P< 0.0001) In addition, positive affect in married women was predicted by the scores of self-esteem (? = 0.45, P< 0.0001).
